Dictamnus fraxinella, also known as Dictamnus albus, belongs to the Rutaceae family. It is a perennial herbaceous plant with an upright stem, compound leaves and striking white to pink flowers with dark veins. It secretes volatile essential oils which, on hot days, can create a flammable atmosphere around the plant. It is found on sunny slopes and dry soils of Central and Southern Europe. Medicinally, mainly the roots and secondarily the aerial parts are used.

- Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding; not for children.
- At high doses, gastrointestinal discomfort or skin reactions may occur.
- Avoid use in children and in individuals with a history of photodermatitis.
