Chenopodium ambrosioides, also known as epazote or Mexican tea, is an aromatic herbaceous plant of the Amaranthaceae family. It thrives in warm climates and is traditionally cultivated in Central and South America.
It is characterized by an intense smell and taste. The aerial parts of the plant are traditionally used for their strong actions on the digestive system and as an anthelmintic.
