Characteristics & History of the herb
Chicory is a perennial plant with blue flowers, known since antiquity for its tonic and detoxifying properties. It is already mentioned by Hippocrates and Dioscorides as a “liver herb”. Its root was widely used in Europe as a coffee substitute, while in many traditional medicines it is considered a “cleanser” of the blood and the body.

In Ayurveda, known as Kasni, it primarily balances Pitta and Kapha dosha, improves digestion and enhances detoxification.
