One of the most classic and beloved recipes of Ayurveda is the decoction with cumin, coriander and fennel – three humble yet miraculous spices that work together harmoniously to bring balance to digestion, lightness to the body and calm to the mind.
🔸 Cumin is warming and grounding. It stimulates the digestive fire (agni), relieves bloating and enhances absorption. Ideal for Kapha and Vata.
🔸 Coriander cools, soothes and calms inflammation. It balances Pitta and helps with burning sensations, indigestion or stomach sensitivity.
🔸 Fennel is demulcent, aromatic and balancing. It relaxes the intestinal muscles, prevents spasms and is indicated for Vata imbalances.
Ayurveda is based on the observation of the 5 elements (earth, water, fire, air, ether). This herbal infusion balances them in such a way as to support gentle digestion without overstimulation, reducing the feeling of heaviness or bloating that may follow a meal.
