OR Ipecacuanha (ipecaquana) is a plant belonging to the family Rhizophoraceae. This plant is endemic to South America and specifically to Brazil, where it thrives in tropical and humid forests. The root of the plant is the one mainly used for medicinal purposes and has a characteristic light brown color.

10-20 drops dissolved in water or decoction, 1-2 times a day, depending on the doctor's instructions. For cough relief, the tincture can be used 2-3 times a day, in dosages determined by the health professional.
