Ο πλάτανος (Platanus orientalis) είναι επιβλητικό φυλλοβόλο δέντρο, που απαντάται ευρέως στην Ελλάδα και σε πολλές χώρες της Μεσογείου.Το βάμμα του πλάτανου προέρχεται από τα φύλλα, το φλοιό ή τα βλαστάρια του φυτού και χρησιμοποιείται παραδοσιακά στη φυτοθεραπεία για τη φροντίδα του δέρματος, την ανακούφιση από φλεγμονές και τον καθαρισμό του αναπνευστικού συστήματος.
