Hypericum perforatum, known as St. John’s wort, belongs to the Hypericaceae family. It is a perennial plant that reaches up to 1 meter in height. Its leaves are small, oval, and dotted with tiny translucent spots that look like holes, from which it gets its name. Its flowers are bright yellow with five petals and appear in dense clusters during the summer months. The plant thrives in sunny areas, in meadows, rocky slopes and roadsides.

20–30 drops diluted in water or herbal tea, 1–2 times a day.

- It may interact with medications such as antidepressants, contraceptives and anticoagulants.
- Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Contraindicated in children without medical supervision.
