The tincture of Quercus peduculata, derived from the bark and leaves of the oak tree (Quercus robur or Quercus pedunculata), is used in phytotherapy mainly for its astringent and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also known as "royal oak." The mother tincture is made from the bark, which is rich in tannins (mainly gallotannin and ellagitannin).

Pharmacological Actions and Properties

Στυπτικό: συσφίγγει ιστούς και μειώνει εκκρίσεις.

Anti-inflammatory: relieves local irritation on mucous membranes and skin.

Antidiarrheal: reduces diarrhea, especially of inflammatory origin.

Hemostatic: helps with minor bleeding.

How to Use
15-30 σταγόνες βάμματος σε λίγο νερό ή αφέψημα, 1-2 φορές την ημέρα, ανάλογα με την καθοδήγηση του ειδικού.

Precautions:
- Να αποφεύγεται από άτομα με γνωστές αλλεργίες στα συστατικά του βάμματος ή σε άλλα φυτά της οικογένειας Fagaceae.
- Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- People taking medication should consult their doctor or pharmacist before using the tincture.

- It may cause mild gastrointestinal upset, such as nausea or diarrhea, if taken in excessive doses.
- In rare cases it may cause allergic reactions, such as rashes or itching.
